The effect is bizarre and quite humorous in the early going, as we watch a group of people roll all over a plane with a serious of screams that were never meant to be heard without layers of noise over them. Obviously this is what happens when not all of the work to make this scene possible is being represented. It goes to show just how important the foley artists are in this process, as a scene like this is easily ruined (or, arguably, improved) by the lack of sound effects. Taking away the sound makes a film feel cheap, which is exactly what happened last year when a scene from the film Everest was accidentally released in a similar manner.
Clearly Universal is not happy with this, as the studio is scouring the internet to remove every YouTube clip they can. A lot is riding on this first part of the potential Monsters Cinematic Universe they have in the works, so making a good first impression is for sure preferred. That said, this may not be the thing that sinks the ship, as many just like to have some fun. This may have been an accident, but hearing the grunts and screams amidst dead air is weirdly entertaining.
